| Is LG 8575 Touch From Alltel the Same As the VX8575 From Verizon?
The 8575 Touch and VX8575 are two model names for the Same phone. Known commercially as the LG Chocolate, the phone is available for both verizon and Alltel customers since Alltel is owned by Verizon. The LG Chocolate is a touch-screen device that operates on Verizon's 850 and 1900 CDMA frequencies. The Touch screen can be used vertically and horizontally.
Screen and Battery The Chocolate Touch features an LCD display screen that measures 3 inches diagonally. The screen has 18-bit color depth so it can show more than 262,000 colors. Images appear on the screen at a resolution of 240-by-400 pixels. The phone contains a lithium ion battery with a life capacity of 1,000 mAh (milliamp hours). The battery can last up to five hours and six minutes of usage or 19 days and 14 hours on standby mode.
Size and Storage The Chocolate Touch measures 4.26 inches long, 2.13 inches wide and 0.46 inches thick, and weighs 4.17 ounces. Its phone book has room for up to 1,000 contacts, and you can enter up to five numbers for each. The Chocolate Touch has 1.0 gigabyte of internal storage space. Of that space, 105 megabytes are set aside for phone functions. The rest can be used for media files like songs and photos. With a microSD memory card, you can expand storage space up to 16 gigabytes.
Media Features The phone features a 3.2-megapixel digital camera with digital zoom and a self timer so you can appear in your own photos. The maximum resolution for all photos taken with the phone is 2,048-by-1,536 pixels. You can also record and play back videos you take with the camera. The media player supports MP3, WMA and AAC+ audio files but does not support video file formats.
Connectivity and Calling The Chocolate Touch uses a 1xEV-DO r0 connection to access the Internet and comes with the Infraware Polaris 6.2 Web browser. The phone also works with Bluetooth 2.1. Once you name your phone and enable the feature, Bluetooth lets you connect to other phones and headsets. The Chocolate Touch has calling features such as voice dialing, which allows you to dial a contact's number by saying his name. Conference calls and speakerphone capabilities are also available | |
